K-STAR Training Academy Founded by Philip Sahagun and Ulziibayar Chimed, two stars of the Cirque Du Soleil stage dedicated to sharing Authentic Martial Arts and Mongolian Contortion to the people of Las Vegas. We have a team of qualified coaches and passionate teachers, whose mission is to offer high-level courses in a stimulating environment for the entire family. Each of our programs allows for specialization, and is available to people of all ages and skill sets. So whether you are looking for a new life goal or want to build up a future champion, we are here to help you along the way.

Our prime objective is to provide students with a clean and wholesome athletic training program to study Authentic Martial Arts and Mongolian Contortion. Each of our staff are handpicked experts in their field whose focus is to fully support the physical progress and mental advancement of our students. Our programs aim to maximize the cultural and social benefits that come from empowering our students to discover their own human potential. Our coaching team has touched the lives of countless people from all levels of society, producing students who are Regional, National and International Champions on and off the training floor.

January 28th, 2020 - K-STAR Training Academy hosts a Grand Opening Ceremony and officially opens its doors in the City of Las Vegas. Attendees from Holland, China, Utah, Colorado, California take part.

June 18th, 2020 - K-STAR Coaches perform for "Martial Arts Athlete Day" an online event for Martial Arts School Owners and Students.
​
November 22nd, 2020 - K-STAR's first Winter Testing is hosted. Over thirty students of the Academy take part testing their skills in Martial Arts and Contortion. Special guests Judges representing Wushu and Mongolian Contortion take part.

November 29th, 2020 - K-STAR hosts Director JJ Perry and Justin Yu from 87 Eleven Action Design at the Academy. Coach Philip Sahagun and Ulziibayar Chimed help facilitate a four day Casting process for their new film.

January 25th, 2021 - Our first Team electives begin, including Classical Weapons, Aerial Fitness and Acrobatics in order to further the education of KSTAR students.
​
April 17th, 2021 - K-STAR was asked to provide a performance for the Nevada State Meet for Rhythmic Gymnastics. Angela and Nelson represented the Academy, performing both Contortion and Martial Arts. They received a medal of thanks from Olympic Medallist Maia Tabakova.

May 4th, 2021 - Coach Ulziibayar and Coach Philip take part in the filming of "Dayshift" Starring Jamie Foxx

June 2nd, 2021 - K-STAR Student Nelson Chimed performs Martial Arts and Contortion on CBS "Kids Say the Darndes't Things" Hosted by Tiffany Haddish.

June 26th, 2021 - Coaches Philip Sahagun and Joaquin Sahagun were inducted into the Kenpo Hall of Fame. The event took place at the Westgate in front of a sold out crowd of fellow martial artists. Big thanks to Senior Master Bob White for the induction speech and Paul Casey for organizing the event.

June 26th, 2021 - In celebration of our Students' recent promotions to Level 2 and 3 of Contortion, Cirque du Soleil awarded tickets for each graduating student and one parent to watch the Dress Rehearsal of "O" Show before re-opening to the public. Thank you to "O" by Cirque du Soleil and congratulations team!

July 11th, 2021 - Coach Ulziibayar Chimed received an award from the Mongolian Government which recognized her outstanding Artistic Contributions to Mongolian Culture. The award is a high honor and was given in recognition of Coach Ulziibayar's 30 year history as Professional Contortionist.

July 17th, 2021 - K-STAR sent 9 Students to take part in the 2021 All American Sanda Nationals. The team walked away with 3 Golds, 4 Silvers and 3 Bronzes. Notably, Darryl Walker, Eric Dawkins and Evan Santos each took home Gold. While Darryl Walker and Eric Dawkins both took home the title of USA Sanda National Champions.

August 28th, 2021 - Coach Ulzii was invited to Coach flexibility during the National Development Camp of US Figure Skaters in Nashville Tennessee. The program aims to develop future Olympic Stars in US Figure Skating.

November 28th, 2021 - K-STAR presented its original stage play "The Seven Elements" with students and Coaches at The Clark County Library Performing Arts Center.
​
December 19th, 2021 - Members of the K-STAR Contortion team took part in Culture Shock Las Vegas Charity event "Takin it to the Streets" The e vent took place at the CSN Horn Theatre.
​
December 19th, 2021 - Team K-STAR took home five Gold Medals in five events at the Phoenix Wushu National in Arizona. The event was well attended and featured over 700 competitors from throughout the Nation and abroad.
